Poor man's version of a great song, total crap. My, opinion, got nothing to do wit nostalgia, but with taste.....and this Reid version isn't mine, far from it.

I'm 42 and bought this record back in the day..........and still friggin' love it. I've branched out into the scariest metal music you can think of over the years, but whenever I hear stuff like this I get a big smile on my face, because it's still great music. :)

A lot of musicians....and regular people on the street are..........best thing is, I just listen to the music in the case of Ian/the Cult, so I don't care if he's arrogant or not.

Still got the vinyl album.....utterly great stuff, of course from the hands of Bootzilla himself. Bootsy Collins has got his hands in lots of musical project...and I like it all. This one was a real gem, but not really widely known. I'm on the lookout for the cd....if that ever came out officiall...

One of the best blues/guitar tracks I've ever heard. My dad had this record for as long as I can remember, I was born in 1970, so I grew up with this one. I bought it on cd myself early 90ies.....what an album....The second album is where it's from.

Another great song. Like I said in the "I'm over you" video post.....I want this record. Was it ever released on cd....probably not as I can't find just a little hint to that anywhere. Guess I'll have to search for vinyl then. It's a crime this got never released on cd.

An extremely underrated band, they were brilliant. Be sure to check out their second band/continuation of Stress, called Inqbator. Also just one cd called "Hatched" (somewhere around 1997).....also features Lenny Kravitz on that cd.

@leehal An official one? I actually had some mail contact with Mr. Beggs' wife, who said there was plenty more material, for sale through their site or via her. But I never followed up on the offer.....darnit.

Man oh man do I pity the fools who listen to top 40 crap, limiting themselves to unified crap music while there's beautiful stuff like this out there. Of course it's not for everybody, but jeez, put in some effort and there's so much else out there............I'm glad I came across the band's nam...

Hell yeah, another band discovered. Great stuff.......on the to buy list, I'll pick it up right along the new Solstafir double cd. It's atmospheric music like this that makes my day.

Lol, all the talk about Agalloch. I definitely do hear some resemblance to Agalloch....and enough other stuff so that the music has its own identity. Indeed, getting compared to Agalloch is nothing to be ashamed about, it's a BIG compliment.

I still have that same remix version Bakkerem1967 mentions..........which is superior to this version I think. The B-side's also great.

I still have this single on vinyl....I was 8 when it came out. I have always been enchanted by the singer's voice, it's mysterious, sensual, mesmerizing...I love it, what an amazing sound. Musically everything fits too. A rare national beauty of ours.
