About Me:

Badgerdog is a nonprofit organization that publishes the American Short Fiction journal and conducts education programs in Austin-area schools, publishing the students' work from the creative writing workshops in the Youth Voices in Ink anthology. We believe reading and writing are transformative acts. Literature has the power to transform the way we see ourselves, the world, and our place in it. Accordingly, our mission is two-fold: to publish work that furthers our cultures' collective vision and to equip at-risk children with the language skills necessary to create literary art from their joy and their jeopardy. In short, Badgerdog was created to publish and to teach.
