The special focus of Back Acres is that of a holistic horse center offering individualized-care boarding, and training for horse and rider in Natural Horsemanship. There are also periodic clinics and classes featuring faculty educated in various methods, including Carolyn Resnick, Klaus Hempfling, Feldenkrais, Qi Gong, Tai Chi for riders, Yoga for horse and rider, Connected Riding, etc. Amenities include an oversized outdoor arena, new indoor arena, grass turnout, various boarding options (equifoam-floored oversized stalls, run-in boarding, etc.), and the owner on premises. There are holistic practitioners available for alternative horse care, including barefoot trimming, natural dentistry, acupuncture, chiropractic, chinese medicine, and body work. The barn atmosphere is one of cooperation and inclusion for all levels of horse and human.
