I watched to this version. It is just incredible. Beethoven was a genius.

I love this opera, but this "ballet" is dreadfull and it has nothing to do with the rest of the opera. In fact, there are similarities between the themes presented here and the themes in The Magic Flute, as well as the Commendatore scene in Don Giovanni.

Recently, I watched to a live performance of this work played by a semi-professional orchestra and it was incredible. I imagine what would be the thrill to watch an orchestra like this playing this work.

It's a pity they don't do films like this anymore. It gives me goosebumps at the end. Yes, maybe it's a little bit exaggerated, but it's, as Salieri/Abraham said, terrifying and wonderful.

This Don Giovanni looks like a gipsy... My favourite version is Siepi's with Furtwangler conducting, but this is very good one. The demons at the end are really scary.
