Anniitra Ravenmoons perspective, about life being one of empowerment, began to display itself through her feminist beliefs. As a single mother, she was hired as one of the first women to be trained as a certified machinist/ machinery vibrations analyzer while working in the oil industry of Los Angeles, California. She rose through the ranks to also become one of the first women of color to supervise machinists in this field. This allowed her to become a property owner and involved member of her community. Searching for artistic expression, outside this male dominated field, she was introduced to belly dancing. She became a belly dancer and then an instructor; as a warrior goddess tributes dancer and a self taught drummer of Middle Eastern percussion and fusion methods.
Anniitra Ravenmoon is 63 years young, a Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who teaches self esteem through the beauty and spirituality of dance. Anniitra calls her unique style of teaching dance the Ravens Round The Clock method and is the self-entitled Urban Power Goddess. Retired from the oil industry, she presently teaches her inventive and evolved form of Belly Dance. This method combines the dance forms of American Cabaret, North African/Egyptian, and Ravenesque Afro-Ethnotics. She has been dancing this art form since 1975 and has been teaching it in her home and urban areas since 1980. Anniitra also provides mini dance workshops, for Women of Color, at Black Women For Wellness Los Angeles, Sister Song of New York, and other womens empowerment conventions internationally.
Anniitra Ravenmoon is one of the Founders of Nubian Divas Unlimited and Luscious Buttz Clothing line, and is a member of Goddesses Unleashed, a sisterhood of professional dancers. She is also the owner and designer of Power Goddesses Unleashed Jewelry; designing unique pieces of Serpentinology silver jewelry for amulets and talismans. In addition, Anniitra Ravenmoon is an Ordained Priestess with the Fellowship of Isis, and Temple of Isis Los Angeles. She has received a charter for her own Iseum, Iseum of the Nubian Moon; a house of Gathering and learning about the Divine Feminine/ Ancient Mothers. She Facilitates Goddess Tea and Inspirations, where different thea/ology presenters are hosted every two months. In addition, she is a certified graduate, participant, sponsor and presenter for Womens Heritage Project; a cultural arts and endowment program, which also provides a womens thea/ology course. And she is a collector of tarot cards and a handler of custom knives and daggers as sacred tools.
Ravenmoon also has earned her student teachers cord with HOOKS (Hermetic Order Of Occult Knowledge and Sciences.)
In December 2005, Anniitra Ravenmoon received F.E.A.S.Ts (Feminist, Education, Action, Spirituality, Thea -logy) "Sharyn DiSanza Award for Equality and Justice through Artistic Expression.

I am a retired OilField Trades Woman, that is enjoying my other half of life. I am now able to do a lot of the things that I couldn't do when I was working rotating shifts for 28+ years in the oilfields. I loved my job. I have good and not good memories there, but it is past. Been belly dancing since 1975, under radar, but now, I am an instructor, and I love it. I like to reach out to women who feel that this dance is only for a certain type. That is why I am not shy about telling my age. You should never short-change yourself on life!! I see a lot of hurtful words on this site. Too bad! Overall, it is much fun watching and communicating with folks from around the world. I love watching different types of dance. We can all learn something from others than ourselves.
