It was the midst of late '90s and the continuing era of bands that sparks up the interest of four young lads of Polomolok, South Cotabato. They did not realize that from that simple interest spawned the realization of life long passion. SCARECROW was born together with the intentions of covering local as well as international acts collectively into a one enormous exploit for listeners with the sheer stage performance that was uniquely scarecrow. It opens up the eyes of SOCSARGEN(SOuth Cotabato-SARangani-GEN.Santos City) locals into a whole new perception when it comes to local band-scene and thanks to the countless trials, hardships and successes, scarecrow were able to withstand through the test of time. After almost a decade of cover songs, band competitions, and line-up changes, scarecrow settled into one solid punch.
Year 2001 was one of the most unforgettable year for the group culminating within that year was the released of our first single under the "Musiklaban compilation album -- Lakas ng Tunog" and it comes with the opportunity of meeting Mally Paraguya and Ian Umali of P.O.T. sharing their views and experiences that make scarecrow more mature musically and personally.
Now a days, the guys are busy creating materials for an up coming album that would hopefully represents SOCSARGEN to the rest of the Philippine archipelago with Ert, Jojo, Evan, Cockie and Ming together that creates a one rock-solid foundation for which SCARECROW is standing LOUD!
