Slums are defined as a heavily populated urban informal settlement characterized by inadequate water supply, squalid sanitation, non-existence of waste disposal arrangements, insecurity of health and educational services, dilapidated habitation, and insecurity of tenure -- many of these, if not all, violations of basic citizens' as well as human rights outlined by the UDHR
Today, 1.5 billion people today live in these conditions denied their basic human rights. In fact in Nairobi, Kenya, 75% of the entire city lives in slums.
This is not just a problem. It is a human rights crisis that needs to be exposed. The Supply exists to expose these injustices and to help communities fight them through education and empowerment
Our mission is to build secondary schools in these slums and implement a human rights based education so that these children can not only know their rights but also fight for them.
Will you stand up and help us fight together with them?
