Listen to the 1954 Concerto Pucciana with Tebaldi & Di Stefano. Besides the arias & duets fro "Boheme" they sing the complete Act IV of Manon Lescaut. Two of the most inately beautiful voices at the height of their powers. The LP has the complete ML, the CD omits some of the first part.

This does exist on DVD. You just have to know where to look. It's from the Royal Opera House at Stockholm. The date of this recording is 2/21/76. Birgit's last new role was one of the most difficult in the entire repitoire. She was fantastic, as always.

She will never be surpassed in her "Fach". The voice was clear & on point. Fearless & very humble. Her curtains very very short. She never "milked" the applause, she did'nt have to. Her Brunhilde with a dislocated shoulder & her arm in a sling was monumental. She was very kind to her colleagues.
