About Me:

Liesbeth Demaer trained at Balletomania in Brussels and at Codarts - Rotterdamse Dansacademie. She graduated in 2004 with a BA 'Dance in Education' . She received a Fulbright Award and an art grant to go study at the Merce Cunningham Dance Studio in New York and was a merit scholarship student at Merce's. She worked with artists like Pat Catterson, Kara Tatelbaum, Christopher Caines & Jean Freebury. She is a certified Pilates Mat Instructor . In Belgium, she taught pilates and dance (ballet, modern & jazz ) at different dance schools and gyms around Brussels. She started to make her own work in progress, under the name 'dAnCHE'. Back in NY she is working with Pat Catterson and was involved in Abe Abraham's dance film 'Wind and Tree'.
She loves nutella and is thankful for the greatest parents in the world and the most supportive husband, walking next to her in life.
