BNSF Emporia Sub

Hey this is BNSF700 here, so a few things with me and trains
1.) I like to railfan
2.) I always like seeing a good train photo
3.) I can be quite picky with lighting and shots of trains( pretty much I want to see the goods)
4.) I like to give tips to others, so don't take it to offense if I give you a tip or two
5.) If you would like some tips please let me know
6.) Some of my vids may seem shaky and bad but they are from years ago, my new ones look way more professional.
7.) FYI... I would put up more vids but my problem is my camera and my computer don't have the same type of connecting cord outlets so I have to use my friends computer to upload so my uploads are rare. That is why I put up my rarest catches first.
8.) I have seen just about everything on the rails so not much suprises me but I don't have a vid of everything I've seen.
9.) My Belief in railfanning is that you know where to go, you know how to adapt to lighting with taking photos and take good photos that look professional.

Photo tips( video and still)
-Main focus on the train, keep other objects from being in front of train if possible otherwise don't bother with the photo I would say
-Avoid shade and glare
-Don't shoot with the sun in front of you
-Sun must be behind you
-Avoid far away shots( to blury)
-Avoid up hill photos( depends on location though)
-Avoid a photo that is back lit
-NO going away shots
-Don't cut off the locomotive
-If you are with several railfanners in a location spread out so you don't get in each other's shot
-My suggestion here is don't turn the camera much, kills the shot if your timing isn't right. And if you turn the camera it drives me up the wall!!
-Zooming in with a video camera isn't the best thing to do.
-plan your shots ahead of time, helps a lot
- Try new locations in an area, people get tired of seeing pictures of the same location over and over. Spread out!!
-Use a tripod, I hate seeing shaky vids
-Keep camera still
