I guess I can see doing this on accident in a bimmer, reverse is ALL the way to the left on top half of the gears, typically where 1st is. But in my 540i, to get it in reverse compared to 1st from neutral you have to use a bit of force. Kinda a dumbfuck driver or he's fucked up on something...
