Hey ant. One time I was doing a hunt for the enderdragon file like you, except I didn't record it. When I switched to 1.1 I thoguht I was screwed, because of the spawning mechanics. But it worked fine. The ender eyes lead me to a stronghold in 1.1 terrain.
