Railways have always played a large part in history, and the Province of BC is no different. On July 15, 2004, provincially owned BC Rail was sold to Canadian National (CN) in a shifty deal.

From a corporate perspective, CN may not care about BC Rail and it's history, but I do. For all of us who capture images of BCR equipment, collect stories from ex-BCR (now CN) employees or document your writings, I commend you.

Even model railroads portray the same characteristics as the prototype and history is kept alive, at least in a small way. My BCR collection is very accurate and hope to showcase scenes that were once commonly seen when BC Rail was still owned by the taxpayers of British Columbia.
