BBQ is not simply grilling hunks of meat on a hot fire. That's grilling, and trust me, I love grilling as much as anyone and there will be lots of grilling here on BBQMyWay.
But, BBQ is the process of slow cooking (8 to 10 hours) the meat of your choice over hickory coals (other woods can be used, but I prefer hickory) at low temperature. 225 degrees is the best.
The result is a juicy, tender master piece of meat that is infused with a silky smokiness that can only be obtained through this method of cooking.
Plus, a lot of fun can be had in those 8 to 10 hours.
It's also fun to bring those foods indoors and create new dishes in the kitchen that are unique and delicious.
Don't get me wrong. We will grill great stuff too. We will also use grilled or BBQ'ed leftovers in the kitchen to create new dishes.
I will also share recipes that aren't based on grilling or barbecuing if I think you might like them.
Crock pot dishes, homemade pastas, casseroles, if I am cooking something that I think you will like, I'll try to post it.

I think I'm going to go bigger to the 22.5" one. Just so I don't have to upgrade for a while. Thanks again for the video!

Awesome Dave! I cannot wait to see it and make because my omelets always turn out as scrambled eggs =). Thanks again for doing this. I'll probably see how you do it and make a video response. Also, I'm looking for a weber grill that's of good quality but fairly inexpensive.. Have any ideas? I'm just a kid and have started to enjoy cooking and am looking for a good grill to use for SD4547's grilling contest. Are you doing it??
