Mine is a 73,according to the factory manual none of the early 70s models had tachs(or even a VSS to run one)it wasnt until 76 or later that tachs were installed

@Chaoutzu D series trannies are cheap enough Id send it to the scrapyard,they can be obtained for free,the stock one should have handled the power fine which means this trans was done before this run.
