I dont have baby tears and really want some, and can't back up my advice, but is your water too hard? I believe DBT like soft water. Also if there isnt any nutrients in the substrate for the DBT (from fish waste, etc) they wont get enough nutrition. Consider root tabs maybe

My drum kit is a Sonor Force 507. Its a 5 piece standard setup. My cymbals (not sure about the hihats): Used Sabian Leopard Hihats, 16 inch Sabian Xs20 medium thin crash, 20 inch Sabian Xs20 medium ride, 16 inch Zildjian oriental trash china.
Using Iron Cobra Jr. Double bass pedal, have a pretty nice pedal that came with the sonor kit
