@FukaDesuNoto because in Japan the family name is first and the personal name second. Same in China, and probably other countries in Eastern Asia. When a manga or anime is translated for Western countries the names are reversed to avoid confusion.

The only problem I can find in this scene of the Dub is "you can't see the sheep of his soul". Yeah, I'm pretty shure its supposed to be shape not sheep Maaka.

Just so you know, that is not even close to the end of Clannad. If you get that far you absolutely must finish it. If you stop there, then the perminant bad impression is your own fault. The true ending is actually very good.
