Bannon's competence was never really seen in a good light with Sawyer, especially now that it was cost them lives, civilian lives.

He really is a foil to Malashenko who's much more competently seen, but also much more emotional. Good story writing is helped with good characters.

War is full of collateral damage, no matter how advanced we make our tech or how well we train our soldiers, there will always be faults to keep arrogance at bay & tragedy to remind us why war sucks...
