Episode # 17: Taking Over the World II Halloween 2003
This episode is our second, and are last, show made with the intention of being purely about Halloween. The reason why it the last is due to the bigger episodes in the following years that would end up (indirectly) being a Halloween special. Our movie is one of the animated classics 'Mad Monster Party' with poorly devised humor. In one simple word about the movie's humor: lame. But our episode makes a good parody of it, sort of, plus we have two music videos, one by Count Vino and another by Trinka! And finally, those pesky Peeps (look for the 'The Mysterious Book of Dr. Fear' episode)are back with vengeance for Mr. Grimly and Dr. Fear reads a poem about why he loves Halloween so much!
Episode # 6: 'Not So Special Christmas Special' 2002
In our first year at Pegasys we had a large wondeful set but by December that changed as the photography shop closed. So we had to think fast and stall while figuring out another location for our set, so we shot the first skit in my old house's front room. The rest of the show was shot in the Pegasys studios in a 'talk show' style format, reviewing the previous characters and shows for all to catch up on. Count Vino hosted this show, it was his Vegas Talk Show (as has been often mentioned in future episodes). So our other name for this show was 'Interviewed By A Vampire', get it....? Our movie was the mid-60's drek called 'Santa Claus vs. The Martians' made famous by one of my main sources for inspiration, Mystery Science Theater 3000.The show was NOT the original idea by the time of Christmas, but since we had no set, we had to make do with what we had until we had the problem dealt with, but this show does have its moments, some classic ones and even a blooper left on (Skit #3) for fun, and our homage to Saturday Night Live's humorous skits involving Frankenstein and friends singing in their incoherant way.
Episode # 4: Taking over the World I Halloween 2002
This was our first Halloween show since forming the show earlier that year at KXOK TV32 and we were were going to go over the top about it!This episode took a few weeks of heavy shooting, added to the fact that we were still new to this whole TV show thing (even though we had already done eleven shows by now) and so this has a few errors that HAD to used in order to get it on the air by Halloween. The first skit with Trinka in the graveyard had a digital error (a slight pause), and the teen vampiresses were not experienced in acting as yet, but aside from this, it all went fairly fine. The final skit had two errors that were overlooked until editing, in the background a fan was on and the flamepot, so that is the white noise you hear! Pay close attention during the second skit where Trinka changes the sad trick or treater into Wheel-wolf, we filmed it out of sequence (for a reason) and in doing so the continuity was forgotten (again the cursed flame-pot). But it was still alot of fun and is a classic. Our movie was 'Arsenic & Old Lace', also a classic.
Fear Videos!
Like Weird Al, our show takes ordinary songs and rips them into shreds and parodies them, but in a Gothic and horror angle. This is an ever-growing play-list of our videos made over the years for all to see. Some songs are purely our own invention but others are spoofs, and even a rarer few are originals by someone else. Match these with our dark and cheesy humor and it is a good match...sometimes. Watch and see for yourself fiends of Fear!
