The dark heard youngster in the front rank has a sharp and strong technique but he opens his hands during the Kata which he should not do! Just shows though the younger you are; its a big advantage!

G'DAY GKR is none-contact. There are plenty of styles who have full contact if thats your thing? It also depends what you "do" Karate for? I doubt many could do a session like this over 2 hours with the balance and style required for grading. Also you are only sent for a 'grading' if your instruc...

"Average" against what standard? What style and belt are you master?The Kata is part of the style as a whole, and obviously it is different than sparing. But the Kata do have BUNKAI applications and do work.
