I believe thw culprit changes with each story with Yasu along with the servants and Hideyoshi being the culprits of ep 1-3 and someone else in ep 4 because Yasu is very intelligent and i doubt she would just let her crimes be seen by evryone on the island so easily.

@Android2137 There are several hints. Just because it is harder to solve then Higurashi doesn't mean it is unsolvable the mystery and all its secrets can be found out in only Ep 1-4 Ep 5-8 are just more hints.
