Aurox was formed in 2009 and has since won a loyal fan base, performed in venues ranging from inner Sydney pubs (including the Annandale Hotel, Bridge Hotel and The Harp) to larger clubs (including Manly Fishos, Mounties, The Lair). The band has also supported established bands and gradually extended its repertoire to include a diverse mix of original music.

Aurox has diverse and eclectic influences ranging from Dream Theater to Alter Bridge, Paramore and the White Stripes. Its original rock music doesn't imitate and lyrics are guaranteed to provoke a response.

Aurox has been described as a "energetic" and "hard hitting" band which delivers a brand new rock sound to the local Sydney music scene.

The band released a self-titled EP early in 2010 which was well-received by its fans and on sites such as Triple J Unearthed and Reverb Nation. The band has built a presence online. The band is currently recording their debut album to be released in 2011.
