About Auda UK

Auda consists of four talented musicians, each of whom brings something different and new to the music that "originates from itself".

Auda officially formed from the ashes of Sui Generis and spent much of their first days searching far and wide for a bassist to make them whole again but finaly found Tony in Aug 07.

Afro Kris (Chris Sidery).Vocals and lyrics. A naturally talented writer, Kris channels his life experiences into his lyrics. Born May 27th 1988, he was raised in a largely musical environment. He has lived all over England until finally settling in Hastings in 2001. After extensive searching he came across three guys who shared his musical interest (not to mention sick sense of humour) and who were also looking for a likeminded vocalist... a match made in the bowels of rock and roll.

Baza (James Barrow). Drums, effects and mixing. Born on the 1st September 1988, Baza has been playing drums since he was 12 but only started playing fully when he left boarding school in 2005. He's been living in Eastbourne since, enjoying the freedom. Baza has always been an inspirational drummer and likes to try out differnt styles and beats. Well, the same thing is boring. He's also a bit of a Tech freak doing all the recording and is a wiz with computers. Baza finally joined Sui Generis after being badgered by Matt for so long and has never looked back.

Markus (Mark Hampson).Guitar and Keyboard. Tuned to the visual arts and the guitar, Mark had been writing music long before Sui Generis formed. Born in High Wycombe on April 5th 1989, where he delved for much of his life, until he moved down to Bexhill on Sea in the summer of 2000. Mark began to write his own music as soon as he picked up the guitar, and after a bit of luck he met up with Matt on one steamy summers day of 2006 and Sui Generis was born.

Tony (Antony Mears). Bass. Born in Eastbourne hospital on the 26th of April 1991. He has lived in Bexhill all his life. The youngest member of the band. He had played guitar in a couple of musical projects previously, but since stepping in as temp bass player for a time he decided bass was his way forward and hasn't looked back. He's had a pretty musical upbringing and is addicted to playing live. He loves mark because he loves his sister, he loves Kris for the fact that he is the only person who can shout bonsai out of a car without being told to f*** off and he loves Baza because they have a Stargate connection.
