To those right wing extremists: "No, you are profoundly wrong. Politics is not warfare and Americans with whom we disagree are not "enemies". We totally reject these ideas. In fact, that's one of the most fundamental differences between you and us and we think it is a major reason why most Americans now support Obama. You actually believe that you are literally at war with every single American who does not agree with you. We don't think that way, and most Americans don't either. "
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. -- President John F. Kennedy
John F. Kennedy defined a liberal as follows:
" ...someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people — their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties — someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a 'Liberal', then I'm proud to say I'm a 'Liberal'.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, said in his inaugural address:
And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.

I love to expose the truth on modern day conservatives who vote blindly and think their leaders have done nothing wrong or hypocritical. The republican party has gone the wrong way from the teachings of the great president Theodore Roosevelt . The conservatives would rather sell out america to corporate interests than to help propel this country into the next generation. They are the party who does the opposite of their stated morals, and goals. I almost feel sorry for them that they lost their way after theodore roosevelt. Instead today they support a lobbying group who supports outsourcing of us jobs, amnesty for all illegal immigrants that they claim are law abiding if they only crossed the border, destruction of the environment in the name of commerce, non disclosure of campaign contributions from outside interference, anti safety measures for workers, and these are just a few things that make them enablers.------------------------------------------------------
The Star-Spangled Banner
O! say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

Civil War addition to the Star Spangled Banner
When our land is illumined with liberty's smile,
If a foe from within strikes a blow at her glory,
Down, down with the traitor that tries to defile
The flag of the stars, and the page of her story!
By the millions unchained,
Who their birthright have gained
We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained;
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave,
While the land of the free is the home of the brave.
