@ChibiProwl No, that's a different brother. Monsieur (Philippe Duc D'Orleans) and Madame (Henrietta Anne) are characters in the book. They're some of the first people Philippe has to convince, and he does not do a good job. I have no idea why Dumas chose the name "Philippe" for Louis' twin. I...

@Metalgear55 Clearly Anne and D'Artagnan have good reason to believe D'Artagnan is the father and not Louis XIII.

I kind of wish they would have written Monsieur into this movie. He has almost no role in the book and an even smaller one in history, but it would have been great to see all of the confused responses from people asking why there are two brothers named Philippe.

@grobiegirl12 Technically Louis XIII would have died 18 years before the start of the movie, but who cares about history in historical fiction? ;)

@cengkih78 He didn't have the mask on because someone thought he would be killed. He had the mask so that no one would notice his resemblance to the king and turn him into a pretender to the throne. It was for Louis' protection. Not Philippe's.
