Logical takes on arguments regarding Religion and God.
Now even though I do consider myself to know more about science than the average person, I am not a scientist nor do I claim to be, and asking me to explain phenomina that most would take years of schooling just to understand will not move a conversation very far. If a debate leaves the realm of which I feel educated in, I will most likely point people in the direction of a person better suited for the topic.
For example, we can talk about evolution for hours, but I have no intention of explaining quantum physics.
While I do see science as a fantasticly accurate and reliable source of information, when it comes to debating religious claims, and supernatural claims in general, I feel the conversation starts with logic and reasoning. If a person has no evidence supporting a scientific explanation for there claim than there is no reason to look for any counter-evidence, simply using your brain will be enough.
If you are a religious or "spiritual" person please do not think that I dislike you or have anything personally against you as a human being just because you have different beliefs than I do, I just do not see a good reason to come to the same conclusion that you have. If you do not push your beliefs on others, than there is no reason why we cannot be friends.

I am a 19 year old Atheist who is just trying to spread the good word of reason.
Please do not come here to preach the bible to me. If you do so my honest reaction will either be a sarcastic remark or just laughter. Try to understand that I have read the bible, and I am not looking for somebody to recite a book that I already know. If you really do intend on converting me to your religion, I will do so if you provide me with accurate real world evidence that your God/Prophet/Miraculous Occurrance actually exists.
Don't forget that seeing is believing. Now give me something to see.
