I have two names for different purposes. Note the filled and hollow stars in the center of both:

Astro★Star is my primary. (Thanks Mean! Love you!)

Astro☆Star is my low-VR (1000-2000 VR) vehicle-swap dummy.

I use Diddy Kong and I use every middleweight vehicle and then some, and I use even the slowest vehicles at a very high level on manual in that I can turn the Daytripper and Sugarscoot into bruising machines. I mostly use Sprinter, Standard Bike, Mach Bike, Sneakster, and Wild Wing. I'm a very aggressive racer, I know item probability down to a science, and I can read the general attitude of each racer to determine how those items will be used, even if someone on the mini-map stopped their item right away or let the roulette stop spinning by itself.

I'm the furthest thing from polite, so I will send 4 reds after that blue, and then I will send a green in your face while you're still recovering. I don't like playing polite, and I don't like when you play politely to me because worrying about stepping on toes takes away from the fun and turns Mario Kart into an apology match. I like being creative with dirty traps that are more unusual than the basic FIB around the corner. I compound traps and block off passages in one pass, and I do what many people don't: I throw shells and bombs in a flip so that they fly at your face at full speed--hopefully to smack you down into the gap with the side effect of making you flinch in your chair. I also play using a poker face. I don't always show you my hand.

About that vehicle swap-dummy: I have Astro☆Star on a 5th license (2nd Wii). Be aware that if Astro☆Star bolts ahead, I've found a glitcher and I'm out for the kill, but I will not mess you up. I will bully glitchers out of the race, and if they are an 8500-9300 VR glitcher, I will also drain their VR with until they leave. I also recruit trolls. I know how hard they worked to get that 9000 VR; it means a lot to them. It would devastate them to lose their points because it's folks in that VR range who care about their points the most. That's why I feel they should lose them; if they need to glitch to get points and cheat everybody who worked hard to earn their VR, I will personally lower the glitcher's score to reflect their general skill level with that dummy--the level they're most self-conscious about VR-wise. It's harmless to innocent racers.

When using Astro☆Star to switch vehicles, I usually have my foot on the controller to friend-join myself. The whole process takes one to two races. With Astro☆Star, I distance myself from the pack, refusing to get items so I don't mess anybody up. I'll even take your TCs. I'm constantly juggling around with different vehicles by swapping every two or three races in the same room. So yes, I'm also one of the very few racers who can change vehicles in a race without ever leaving the room, without the need to have friends in the room, and without ever hacking. (Peoples' reactions to this are hilarious! I've seen some psychotic actions taken against my dummy!)

It wouldn't be as fun without listing my drawbacks! I tend to self-destruct quite a lot, usually either from getting nervous, or lack of warm-up time with a particular vehicle. I tend to favor one vehicle, then get rusty on another. Unfortunately, I like to think Mach is one of my least strongest because I'm so busy using everything else that I tend to hit more corners when using it, and I lack confidence from time to time. I'm usually the fallguy to getting wheelie-bumped and slammed into walls more than everybody else, having difficulty breaking out of the pack when I'm lacking confidence. On average, my focus and energy is high, but all too often it takes a blow from stress, though I have surprising Super Saiyan moments. I get more and more confused at which is the correct direction in the Koopa Cape pipe exit. Normal tracks and Mirror tracks are melding into each other. I don't know which is which, at times. While I very rarely ever get vehicles confused when I switch--I instantly adapt to the next vehicle--for the stupidest reasons, ever since I started Sneakster, and many times when I use it, I continue to think it is an out-drift bike the first lap or so, so that never goes well. My wires are getting a tad crossed. :p
