Fantastic episode. I think anyone who doesn't take gaming to neurotic extremes can look with a certain fondness upon some of the disappointing games they've played.

Are these being played on emulators? I've been playing the Saturn version of Doom (US version), and it's running a notch better than this.

@TheLMan101 You're right; PS1 didn't have online play. I had a brain fart there, I guess. The Saturn definitely had it, though. Games that could be played online included Sega Rally Championship and Saturn Bomberman.

Glad to hear you mention the Mega Man Xtreme games. Mega Man Xtreme 2 really is one of the best games in the X series - great graphics, good story, and some totally wild boss fights.

So... What would be a good poker simulator on the Wii? I've been wanting to play one, but can't seem to find any.

@AllhailtheUS I know there's all kinds of people in the world, but a married couple who combine Christian-based restrictiveness with obsessive video gaming? I just can't picture it.

@papershadow69 Mmm, I've never met a kid who wasn't deathly afraid of rats, so I can't imagine that lowering the audience's respect for her at all.

You know, I wasn't much enjoying most of this episode. Don't get me wrong; it's superb, intelligent humor, but awkward conversations like those between Alan and the Irishmen tend to just make me uncomfortable.

I think I prefer the optimistic exuberance of the Fuzzy Duck version, but this is nonetheless a very interesting rendition of "Time Will Be Your Doctor". Henderson is a far better singer than Grahame White, at any rate, and the energy here is excellent.

Good little video. I love pseudoscorpions, and it's nice to see solid close-up footage like this. I only wish there were a lot more videos like this around.

@carboxylheron Pseudoscorpions are very tough to spot, despite being fairly common. I've only seen one once. One of my cousins pointed out a cool beetle to me, and peering closely at it, I noticed he had a pseudoscorpion hitching a ride on his leg!

Wow... So this is the game which is hitting WiiWare in just a couple days. It's obviously cut from the same cloth as The Throne of Chaos, and even if it's not nearly as stylish, that's enough for me to snap it up on release day.
