Hi. Can someone here tell me if the Treadgolds museum in Portsea was a success or not and if it is still open?
Hopefully it is, especially with the amount of money that was given to the project to rekindle the old place (it was a part of my childhood).

Thanks.

Hello Kay.

Many thanks for the feedback!
We recently had a camera training session with the new Building Community projects and one of the camera techniques we looked at in detail was panning, zooming and of course using the tripods.

Many of the groups that are participating have never used a video camera before to document their progress so it will be great to see the gradual improvement over time similar to the last round of Building Community videos.

You need to tighten the camera tripods when filming still and mid shots of people and loosen them when panning ive noticed a lot of footage is very jerky when your panning and the camera is constantly being moved when filming still interviews, if your using the keystone equipment the tripods are ace and can pan really well when loosen films you have done are all really nice and get the message out quick and fast
