Andrea McArdle as Miss Hannigan - "Easy Street"

Her voice hasn't matured at all. She still sounds like Annie!! I can't hear her playing Miss Hannigan. It's like Annie pretending to be Hannigan. If her voice had deepened and matured then i can see her playing the role. Also, she still looks young and unmatronly for the role.

She was the best sounding Annie since Andrea McArdle. I saw the Barbara Walters special on the Annie casting and actually was excited about seeing her in the production, but she got fired before it opened on Broadway. I didn't like Bette's version of Mama Rose. She does alot of mugging for the cameras rather than acting. Her Mama Rose was more of a caricature and her singing was very pitchy in alot of the numbers. They should have fixed it in the soundtrack. Not a good movie version. Roz Russell was a better m...

Bernadette is so vocally wrong for this brassy role. She can act it great but she shouldn't be singing this kind of show music. It doesn't naturally sit well in her vocals and I fear the strain it caused her. It's painful to hear. The score was specifically written for Ethel Merman's voice. Berna...
