Lebenskünstler mit ehrgeizigen Zielen

Geboren wurde Ashley Washing am 07. Juni 1979 in den Townships von Kapstadt/ Südafrika. Bereits in Jüngsten Jahren übte der Sänger ehrgeizig stundenlang Singen und Tanzen - geschult hat er sich dabei selber. Sechsjährig bestritt er dann den ersten Auftritt mit einem Schulchor in der Stadthalle von Kapstadt. Der Einstieg ist geschafft! fortan misst sich der smarte Nachwuchskünstler an jedem Samstag in Tanzwettbewerben in seiner Heimatstadt - nicht ohne Erfolg. Mit seiner eigenen Gruppe tritt er gerade einmal neunjährig in verschiedenen Jugendzentren der näheren Umgebung auf. Das Singen bleibt aber gleichwohl seine eigentliche Liebe.

Mit 14 Jahren steht Ashley an einem Wendepunkt in seinem Leben. Ohne finanzielle Unterstützung oder professionellen Unterricht sowie trotz der schwierigen politischen Lage und dem großen Risiko, welchem sich ein schwarzer Musiker in Kapstadt stellen muss, arbeitet der smarte Ashley hart für seinen großen Traum. Er weiß allerdings, er muss Kapstadt verlassen, wenn er eine professionelle Karriere im Musikbusiness einschlagen möchte.Seine große Leidenschaft, das Singen, bewegt ihn letztlich dazu, diesen Weg zu planen. Mit 16 Jahren hängt Ashley die Schule an den Nagel, und bewirbt sich ehrgeizig und voller Enthusiasmus für die Musicalproduktion "Kat and the Kings". Sein gesangliches sowie tänzerisches Talent prädestinierten ihn dafür. Nach drei Monaten erreicht ihn der erlösende Anruf - er wurde aus über 1.500 Bewerbern für fie Rolle des "Ballie Isaacs" ausgewählt!!
Eine europaweite Tournee des Erfolgsmusicals - das sogar einen Award gewinnen konnte - führt ihn drei Jahre lang durch die großen Städte (1998-2001). Ashley macht sich mit diesem bedeutenden Debüt einen Namen - nicht nur in Deutschland.

Von 2002-2003 tourt der Vollblutmusiker mit einem Cabaretprogramm dann über die Iberische Halbinsel und verzaubert in zahlreichen Shows das spanische Publikum. 2004 verschlägt es Ashley aufgrund familiärer Bindungen letztendlich nach Deutschland in das niedersächsische Lingen. Auftritte als Solokünstler in Diskotheken oder Shows prägen zunächst seinen musikalischen Werdegang. Ashley knüpft Kontakte und lernt das deutsche Musikbusiness kennen. Als Host von z.B. Horrace Brown begeistert er die R&B begeisterten Gäste.Zudem beginnt der Sänger,eigene Lieder zu schreiben und semiprofessionell selber zu produzieren - ein ganzes Album würde sich füllen lassen! Zu seinen Vorbildern gehören Stevie Wonder oder Allrounder Michael Jackson. In eigenen Bühnenshows beweißt Ashley sein vielseitigen Können als Entertainer: Singen, Tanzen, das Publikum begeistern!
