Been watching your videos. I've been bit by the blacksmith / bladesmith bug. I was really happy to find your channel. My father in law is a knife dealer and has a lot of friends in the industry. I am hoping to hook up with some of them to watch and learn. It was really nice to be able to see your step by step how to videos. I am sure I will be watching them over and over.

Hey brother, thanks for the HT info contribution for SFBA. I always (well not always) understood that the iron in high carbon steel tranformed into face centered from body centered but never took the time to actually understand what it meant. Like how the moleculer stucture of a face centered one is actually alot bigger allowing the carbon to flow into it and that when you quenched it, it shrinks back down trapping the carbon inside of it. lol annd how tempering allows it to grow jus enough to allow some of the carbon to escape. Great info man. Although I've always, and still am confused about bainite and martempering and all that . hah Thanks
p.s. sorry bout the boat load of quesions I sent you, you dont have to answer alll of them, just some lol jk peace

I watched all of the videos that clearly demonstrate your artistry. I first learned forge welding when I was a youngster in the early 50's. We still had a Blacksmith back in those days. I used to hang out there on Saturday. He wasn't open during the week because by then there wasn't enough work for him to stay open. I made my first knife from a piece of steel that the blacksmith gave me to "play around with" so it became my first hunting knife. I learned a whole lot more by watching you craft those blades. I am just finishing up a knife that was going to be a large clip point but turned into a giant size drop point. I am not sure what the stainless steel is but it is very tough and heat treats well. I appreciate you sharing you art. Thanks.
