Art Works Art School is a community based art school whose mandate is to introduce Adults, Teens and Children to the enriching world of art in a creative, positive and healthy environment. Adult programs include beginner and advanced classes offered in a supportive and structured environment. Teen programs focus on portfolio development for high school, college and university with a focus on technique, concept building, and exploration of content and subject matter. The Children's program emphasizes the development of visual awareness, the elements of art and design, personal expression and imagination, confidence in problem solving, improved self esteem and nurturing a comfort with materials and control of tools. Through the arts, Art Works Art School makes a creative committment and collective effort to contribute to an improved quality of life for our community and in a greater global context.
