Adventures in modern survival: Bushcraft, gear, knives, guns & Zombies.
About Me:
I ended my first enlistment in 1991 with a Honorable Discharge. I served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1991until December 1995.
I re-enlisted for "active duty service" in the U.S. Army in 1995 and served until 2001...I was medically retired for injuries
(permanent disabilities) I sustained during a Field Training Exercise and subsequently recieved another Honorable Discharge for my service in the U.S. Army.
I grew up hunting, camping, and Bushcrafting. My Father & Grandfather both passed on thier knowledge of Bushcraft & survival techniques to me, I'm no expert and there is always new skills to aquire.
I hope to share my interests in Survival/Bushcraft, firearms, gear, the outdoors, and my adventures in Zombie hunting.
I am a Conservative & a devout Christian. I love God, this country, our Constitution, rights and freedoms.
I have been married to a wonderful woman for over 24 years. I'm the father of 2 awesome daughters, and the Grandfather of 2 equaly awesome Grandaughters.
My Brother-in-Law is my best friend & my biggest gear benefactor. He is serving in the U.S. Army in the Spec. Ops. community, He is currently serving in a LRS unit as a Platoon Sergeant. He is a Ranger, Pathfinder, Airborne Jump Master & Air Assault, and a Sniper. He served in the Ranger Reg. 2nd Bn & 101st Airborne Div. Just to name two. He has been deployed to the Middle East 4 times. He is now deployed for his 5th rotation in Afghanistan.
Both of my Sons-in-Laws are serving our country in the U.S. Army, they have served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. One is an MP & the other is a Combat Engineer.
There are three types of people:
Those who make shit happen, Those who watch shit happen, and those that wonder "What was that shit that just happened?"
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, work around it, or blow it up!"
