A chance meeting between two talented songwriters who were both performing at a central London music venue saw the creation of ahab, an alternative/country duo, Callum Adamson and Dave Burn. Both of these young songwriters have grown from musical backgrounds. Their upbringing giving them every encouragement to develope their craft. Their music is of a style away from the middle ground, yet their songs have a unique sound and take on a maturity far beyond their years. They are very much left of centre producing songs that are instantly recognisable as AHAB. During the past twelve months they have achieved radio play on the ABC network in Australia where Dave embarked on a solo visit to promote the songs. This included interviews and live sessions along the west coast. In the UK their songs have been featured on several BBC regions and they were invited to record a live session for BBC's "Brand New Country". Presenter Bryan Burnett likened their songwriting to that of Ryan Adams, a comparison not lost on Callum and Dave as they feel his music has genuine sincerity. Their track "Avenues" was featured on a News Of The World covermont cd while their first recordings received an outstanding review from "Maverick" magazine with comparisons made to Crosby, Stills & Nash.. An e.p release ( e.p1 ) followed, again obtaining excellent reviews from the media and has sold in the UK, europe and the US on their own independant label "White Wail Records", helping to create their present fan base. ahab are now a four piece line up with Callum and Dave now joined by Seebs Llewellyn and Luke Price. They have headlined several London venues this year as well as playing dates in the USA including five nights at the famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashvile.
