Arctic Frontiers, initiated in 2007 at the start of the International Polar Year, promises to be the premium event for giving an up-to-date view of the state of the Arctic environment, as well as social, economic and political trends. The 6th conference, with the theme Energies of the High North, took place 22-27 January 2012. This YouTube site gives some of the lighter moments of the conference: the social interaction, and the various art & music events organized in conjunction with the conference. There are also some clips from the 2nd annual Arctic Frontiers, 21-25 January 2008, with the theme "Oil and Gas - Political, Social and Scientific Challenges in the Arctic" the 3rd conference, "The Age of the Arctic", 19-23 January 2009, and the 5th conference "Arctic Tipping Points". Related events are also covered such as the Young Scientist Forum and Emerging Leaders.
