Thanks for mentioning my website. :D The AY-3-8914 is almost identical to the AY-3-8910 used in many arcade boards and computer systems back in the 80s and still in some recently made 8 liners. It has 2 8-bit I/O ports which are used on many systems as joystick/button inputs.
