Painful rendition ??? Starts drooling ??? Man if you played horn you'd understand that most players play on a 'wet' set up and that the ending was where he poured pure emotion into this BALLAD ... which is what ballad playing is about. Man I don't know how you can fail to feel his music.

Yeah Freddie's not totally happy here (probably the way he's hearing it - since he checks another mic') and that probably takes an edge off what he does (but still GREAT). Then we get an example of over blowing some good riffs but the music is not really happening.

That upper register playing on flugel = serious chops. This guy had a wonderful range and could really sing through the horn making everything sound sweet.
