The AP scaling on Teemo's poison is deceptive.
It scales 0,14 damage/AP, however, it does so 5 times if allowed to run out. So it actually have an AP scaling of 0,7.

Able to pierce stars? It caused a blast radius that covered maybe 3% of earth surface. A medium seized star have something like 50 times the diameter of our planet. If a weapon existed that could actually pierce a star it wouldn't leave anything but dust behind if aimed at earth.

Personally, I level Zephyr before Gale winds. Gale winds simply eats up too much of your mana at low level. Then I go for Gale winds or Eye of the storm depending on who I'm laning with. The slow of Zephyr usually annoy the enemy team more while harassing as well.

While I'm not 100% sure of the reason for this it probably have to do with things such as; it's a solo game vs. Bots, figuring out how to itemize the chars on your own is a... not big but noticeable part of the fun in the game and it eats up time like your sister eats chocolates.
