About this user
Aponia, from Hollywood, CA is an alternative rock band inspired by the growing pains and emotional turbulence we all face. Fronted by Greg Moorman, Aponia tells "a story about being true to yourself." Touching on such topics as failed relationships and broken families - "Aponia is nothing short of a cathartic experience. Their intensely personal lyrics enable the listener to feel the emotions while releasing the toxicity of them to promote the healing sensation we all crave."
In December of 2010, Aponia released the debut-EP Freedom From Pain. The album featured (Water) Tower, the first Aponia song, as well as fan favorites Abuse, Catatonic and Intentions. The album was called "something fresh for music. Something music needs." Greg's voice was compared to "Bert McCracken (The Used) and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)." Freedom From Pain is available via iTunes, Amazon and more.
On August 23, 2011, Aponia released the song Music Welfare via GetFanged.com and BandCamp.com. "It was to give the Aponia family a look into what's coming. This album is incredibly bigger, sometimes louder, and emotionally stronger than anything they've ever heard from me." On September 6th, 2011, Aponia released their first official music video for Where Did All The Real Ones Go? via YouTube. The same day WDATROG? was released via the brand new TheAponiaFamily.com website. The 2-song collection featured Where Did All The Real Ones Go? and Music Welfare. "These are 2 songs from the upcoming record, Real Ones Go is brand new and Music Welfare is a few years old. Both are in your face and to the point, and I promise you, Life Is Worth Surviving packs a solid punch and it has an important message that both kids and parents need to hear."
Aponia's debut full-length album "Life is Worth Surviving" will be released in 2012.
