@sigurd1979 No kidding, my understanding is that most of these engines now run on 100LL fuel and they de-rate the power levels. So when you see a B-24 take off, it isn't at full power but at a lower power level in order to prevent pre-ignition/detonation from using a lower ocatane fuel.
