This is my entry for the third challenge of YNTV. We had to make a character study.. AUCH. It was a big challenge, haha. Ive never really done videos where I had to keep in mind that it really had to be about one character. Well, I did it one recently, but that was only 17 secs and I wouldnt consider that a full video. But I really enjoyed making this one. I was planning on making a video about Edward Cullen at first, but one day before the deadline I decided to switch to Frodo Baggins. Its been AGES since Ive made a Lord of the Rings video, so I thought this challenge would be a nice opportunity to get back at vidding it : )). As for the song, I just love the song. I like this version more than Crawling itself. Ive wanted to vid it for a long time, and I think it fits Frodo quite well. E/N: I just noticed while watching the other entries that there is someone who did this song as well. Sorry, I didn't know that when I made mine.
I hope you guys like the vid. I know it has flaws, but it was too late to fix them, so Ill just have to live with that. Actually I only liked the first 20 seconds of the video while making it. The others just didnt seem as good. But now Ive seen how the full video turned out, Im kind of happy with the final.
Okay, so now the way too long explanation of the video:
The video starts off with showing how the One Ring was given to Frodo. "The Ring is yours now."
After that, I switched to the scene which I think was important to show. Frodo brought the Ring to Rivendell [not shown in the video], and now all of the people there have to decide whos going to take the Ring to Mordor, in order to destroy it. No one wants really wants to, basically because Mordor is a very dangerous place. Frodo says "I will take the Ring to Mordor." In my opinion, this sentence changed everything. This sentence is the start of all the changes that Frodo will go through, and how he will change because he is so affected by the power of the Ring. 0:19 kind of represents this. You see Frodo zoom out, and fade away. So basically the old Frodo fades away. [Sorry if that was confusing, its kind of hard to explain x__x.. I hope you understand what I mean]. The sentence also shows that Frodo has a lot of courage.
From 0:20 till 0:29, I tried to show how vulnerable and lonely Frodo is on his journey. The task was given to him, and he has to deal with everything surrounding that task. No one can help him with that. I also tried to show how Frodo is afraid that he will fail the task. "I can not do this alone. You are a ring bearer, Frodo. To bear a Ring of power, is to be alone."
From 0:29 till 0:39, I showed how much Frodo is affected by the Ring. He gets obsessed with it. This has consequences for the way he acts as well. Sam tries to help him, by telling him what the Ring does to him, but Frodo doesnt want to hear what Sam has to say. "Its the Ring. You cant take your eyes of it. Its taken a hold on you, mister Frodo." "What do you know about it? Nothing. The Ring was entrusted to me. Its my task, my own!" The way Frodo acts is very different from how he was before the Ring was in his possession. "Cant you hear yourself?"
The rest of the video focuses how much Frodo struggles with his task. 'These wounds, they will not heal.' is about how Frodo will always have memories of the Ring. The book shutting at the end of the video is the end of Frodos journey.
Brownish clips are memories.
Okay, that was a lot to type out, lol. I hope the description was understandable, it was kind of difficult to explain everything in a proper way. If its not, do not feel afraid to ask me. I was told to be careful with my descriptions, because they should add something to a video. I hope I didnt destroy my video because of this description, :PP.

Finally, after hours, no days, we finally succeded by uploading that video. Thanks to the judges for understanding the problems we had with yt.
At first, this wasn't what we intended to do. We had started something with HP, but it was way too big for us to finish before the deadline. We were incredibly busy in our personal life, many changements occured in the past week. Plus, Kate has the flew in the moment, so I, Leah, had to finish this video alone. It felt really strange to vid without my sister, probably why in the middle of the video, *the part we hadn't made together* it looks a little bit strange. Kate had started with the idea of ''I don't know you anymore.'' (text at 00:29), but she forgot to tell me what she intended to do with that, so it feels weird in the video because it feels incomplete. However, despite all of this, I think it still looks great, and Kate aproved, so we are both relieved to have this video finished in time.
About the video : Okay, the song may seem a little bit weird, but still. We wanted to show Padme's feelings through the video. When there is those piano's notes, it's her 'good' memories, if we can say it that way, and when there is the stronger beat, I guess you can interpret it the way Padme reflects everything Anakin has done, and how it killed her inside. ''She has lost the will to live.''
At 0:50 - Explain how Padme still tried to save Anakin from its darkness, but failed obliviously. And for the next part, we added part of their confrontation over the clips of everything Anakin has done, to give the emotion of Padme taking in everything he did, and how she understood it was too late, that Anakin did turned to the Dark Side.
So, it's kind of a sequel to our first entry, where we can see Anakin's reflection of him turning to the Dark Side. This time, this is Padme confronting the path he has choosen that involuntary brought her end.

i wanted the video to be finished before the end of october because it is the month of awareness for breastcancer and that's what this video is about. I wasn't able to upload it before the end of october but i still hope that people will bring more awareness to cancer after wachting this video.
Cancer is a terrible disease and after seeying a lot people die from cancer around me i still don't get why people use cancer as a curse to others. I want to bring awareness to this subject because a lot of people don't know that people can get breast cancer on a really early age, breastcancer is the main death cause for people between 15 to 54. Also a lot people don't know that men can get breastcancer too! So everyone can get it!!

Description:
Hermione gets to hear that she has cancer. She tells Harry and Ron and they are, just like her, devistated. They don't know exactly how to act after their talk.
Hermione on the other hand is having a second appointment with her oncologist. He wants to tell her what sort of treatment they can do to give her more time. Hermione doesn't want to hear about, she can't accept that she is gonna die. She runs out of the office and is from that day avoiding everything that has anything to do with dying, docters, hospitals and above all else: cancer. She doesn't want to be the cancer patient she will turn into when she goes through treatment.
On a party she finally tells harry and ron that she hasn't been to an oncologist for a few weeks because she is afraid of what might happen. Ron tells her that she should go to the hospital.
Hermione's oncologist is at the same party and he recognised her. He tells her that she really should come back to the hospital. Hermione eventually agrees but tells him that she wants to live one normal day before she turns into the cancer patient.
Together they spend a whole day without talking about cancer, hospitals and treatment, just two friends going out.
Two weeks later hermione is laying in the hospital, feeling tired and sick all the time. Not long after that Hermione gets in a coma. Her friends are called to the hospital and the oncologist tells them that hermione won't make it much longer.
Not even two day later Hermione dies. Her friends are devistated that it went so quick but they remember that hermione isn't in pain any longer. They know that they will never forget her and that she will always be with them. They will never let her go.
