Usually means praise to God, however I think in this song, it is used as a cynical comment on earthly love. His experience of romantic love has not been a positive one.

@McStuddly I am from Australia, and her first accent (the Sydney one) was spot on. The 2nd one was good too, but not many Australians use that accent anymore (unless they're crocodile wrestlers, lol). I thought her NZ was terrific.

There used to be a video to go with this song and I would play it over and over and then it disappeared. Every now and then I would check to see if it was back and today I found this version which was exciting. I love her voice whoever she is, and I love this arrangement.
