"Running" is from the album Rock Steady (2001) and was released worldwide as the album's fourth and final single on July 1, 2003.

The song was written by Gwen and Tony on an old keyboard Kanal had when he was in 8th Grade. When the song was completed however, they were dissatisfied and went to producer Nellee Hooper who stripped it back to basics, and gave it the sound it has today.
