The Anti-Choice Project (ACP) was established in early 2009 in Kitsap County, WA. Our mission is to expose the injustice of legalized abortion, commonly known as "Choice" in America.

The ACP believes the most effective and meaningful way to expose any injustice is show what effect it has on its victims. Because the unborn victims of abortion are silenced by a legalized process by which their tiny bodies are violently torn into pieces, we must speak on their behalf. The ACP holds 3'x'4 signs which tell the story of 1 out of every 3 babies who are killed and discarded because they were "unwanted."

Dating back to before Roe vs. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion on demand in America, the true nature of this human rights issue has been clouded by slogans and rhetoric. Even pro-lifers are guilty of reducing the injustice of abortion to a semantical debate about words like "choice," "life," "reproductive rights," "fetus," etc. In fact, many pro-lifers, much to the satisfaction of their adversaries, believe that to expose abortion visually is a step in the wrong direction.

But this line of thought is contrary to every major movement of social reform in modern history. Graphic imagery has played a pivotal role in the Abolition of the Slave Trade, The Child Labor and Civil Rights Movements and every American war in recent history. This is because some evils are so horrifying in their nature that they cannot be expressed in words -- they must be communicated visually. It is one thing to tell someone that the Jewish Holocaust was an enormous evil committed against humanity. It is quite another to *show* someone the enormity of evil committed at Auschwitz or Dachau with pictures of dead bodies piled in stacks or men, women and children so malnourished and mistreated they appear to be walking skeletons.

The signs used by the ACP reveal, within a glance, that abortion is an act of violence which kills a baby. An evil so enormous, so horrifying, that it cannot be expressed in words.

Like injustices of the past, the ACP seeks not only to make abortion intolerable in our society, but unthinkable.
