Bringing all urban types of music together, the Antagonist creates cross-genre wobblers from Dubstep to Electro House with one thing in focus - dark, dirty, sadistic beats and basslines.
Currently reigning from Victoria, British Columbia, the Antagonist draws from his past musical interests for inspiration. As a guitarist of 7 years, he transferred his knowledge of speed metal and other heavy rock genres into his electronic music production.
Antagonist began his career in electronic music by creating hip hop instrumentals for himself and other aspiring local artists. Soon he realized that the evil sounds and pounding bass he'd been manipulating were far too filthy and far-fetched to be fully appreciated via hip-hop, and began searching for an outlet for his 'purest of filth'. This has since been the focus of most of his studio time, creating dirty basslines and glitchy-ass beats in a cross-genre mashup of dubstep and electro. With influences ranging from metal to hip-hop to classical, there's a flavour to suit everyone's needs- just be prepared to get DIRRRTY!
