Purpose: I animate geography to illustrate history on a large scale. My website has a 10 minute geographic history of the USA, "Growth of a Nation," which shows the admission of every state and major events. It is interactive. The site also has a timeline of American history from 1789 to today, correlated with world and cultural events.

"Journey of the Mormons" is one of eight migration movies in the enhanced version of Growth of a Nation, which is on CD-ROM. This interactive CD contains the 10 minute history mentioned above plus two additional layers on population changes and a more detailed version of the timeline. The enhanced version is for sale for $19.95.
