Born in Livingston, New Jersey to Janet and Lee Bynum. During his early years he resided in the Northern New Jersey towns of East Orange and Irvington, NJ. In 1992, the family moved to Plainsboro, NJ, where Andrew completed his primary education and began his Basketball career. In his spare time, Andrew likes to work on anything mechanical. He enjoys customizing his cars, racing & repairing remote controlled cars, and building computer systems. Andrew is an excellent swimmer. He also enjoys tabletop Ping Pong, bowling, golfing, chess, and watching action and comedy movies.
ACADEMICS:
Upon graduating High School with a 3.4 GPA ...Andrew was scouted & received scholarship offers from UCONN, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Rutgers and 20 other schools. He accepted the University of Connecticut offer. He is currently seeking his degree in Business Management from Loyola Marymount during the off-season.
THE NBA:
Andrew was selected 10th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers...He is the youngest player ever to be drafted by an NBA team.
