About this user

I was born in Pakistan and moved to the US when I was seven with my family. I felt spiritually void when I practiced Islam and knew that there was something more to life. I eventually talked myself into believing that God was a loving God and he accepted all "good" people.
I kept seeking for a spiritual fulfillment and God began to work in my life even though I was not seeking Him. When I was in the 11th grade, I was having a discussion with one of my classmates and told them about where I was spiritually. He got me thinking about the question: who is "good" and how one goes to Heaven. Well, we discussed that topic but he never told me about Christ or salvation specifically. One of my other classmates gave me a copy of the NT to read. I went home and read the whole gospel of Matthew in one night. I was so moved and I knew I found the Truth. I called upon the name of the Lord, and so my walk with Christ began.
I was so excited when I accepted Christ, but I had no one to minister to me. Looking back I wish I did have someone to guide me and fellowship with me. As a result I lost hope and was scared of what Christ requires if one follows Him. I was in my teens at that time and still an infant in Christ without proper direction. I tried to tell my parents of my conversion to Christ, but my father had told me the day I say I am a Christian, he will disown me. They know that I am no longer a practicing Muslim, because I don't pray (namaz) or read the Quran.
Doubt kept creeping in and there were many times I would fall way. One week I would be crying out to God and the next day satan would do everything to convince myself that God didn't exist, and Christianity was a damaging lie. I kept buying into his lies. I constantly went from being an atheist, gnostic, spiritual, and a believer. This endless circle would repeat over and over. During this whole ordeal, I was also struggling with same sex attractions. I can honestly say satan tempted me with almost everything in the book. The hardest thing for me to let go was of homosexuality. There was always a hope in my heart that God will save me from all of the mental stress, and the endless cycle of disbelief. The verse that l always believed in my heart was Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
And indeed, Christ delivered me out of this sin. In retrospect, the reason for my lack of faith in Christ was due to my lack of prayer. But thank God that HE guided me and led me. I have been on this "crazy" journey, and I can say with absolute confidence that Jesus is my Lord, and I have been saved through the Mighty work of the Lamb. I give glory to my God for He is so good.
I testify to the truth that God the Father sent his only Son to die on a cross for the sins of the world. I testify that Christ was raised up and received into Glory. I also testify to the Holy Spirit, that He was sent as a Comforter to those that believe in our beloved Christ. THAT is the ONLY TRUTH that matters.
