A USB cable won't work, that's mostly used to link the memory card with the computer to retrieve photos/digital video...
A firewire is what you really need. A IEEE 1394 to be exact.

The GL2 has a setting in the menu for a 16:9 aspect ratio (sorry, i can't remember what folder it's in). Although, you should note that the 16:9 setting only crops the image by cutting off the top and bottom of the frame (giving you less pixels and less clarity). This isn't bad if yo...
